The Flu

 Pre 2019 people got the flu. Then no one got any thing except covid 19. Now all of the sudden lots of people are getting the flu. How come I am the only one who finds this strange? We have been bamboozled folks. Covid was over blown. Perhaps now it will level out. Thanks for listening. Steve

Divide and conquer.

 A good leader will know that to conquer, you must first divide. That is what is happening to us in this country. No one can get along anymore, we are as divided as we were during the civil war. Angels watching us

 Ever wonder if angels are real? The Bible speaks of them in many places. It talks about how they look and what jobs they have. I have seen them myself, but not for many years. We each have one that watches over us. He comes when we need him, sometimes we are allowed the privledge of seeing one, mostly they work and we never see them. Snow.

 The snow is like God, or maybe the spirit of God. It like the blood of christ is all covering. It makes all things new, covers everything. It has a special beauty all of itself. We know it comes along every once in a while. We must learn to enjoy it while it is here. A part of the seasons, a part of life. May we look forward to change.

Merry christmas

 Merry christmas to all. Christmas comes but once a year. It is considered a special time of year, some say, the most wonderfull time of the year. Christmas is burried deep in the heart of each of us. We bring it out and share it with others at this time of the year. Here we go again.

 The governor of the formerly great state of Oregon has extended a state of emergency due to potential covid out break. This is foolishness, using a complete lack of common sence. It is time for us to rise up against government over reach, against abuse of power. I refuse to be herded like sheep. I refuse to be told lies which I know are not true. What is Christmas?

 What is Christmas? To ask that question you would think me crazy. Every body knows what Christmas is, or do they. To some Christmas is Santa Claus and presants with snow. To others it is the birth of the savior, The Lord Jesus, son of God. I think Christmas is deep in the heart of every man and woman. A time of reflection, a time of joy, a time for family. You see it means something differant to each of us. There is no wrong, nor correct way to see it. This year, ask your self, what is christmas to me? Perhaps you know, perhaps you still seek. Covid 19 or 20 or 21

 Oregon being only 1 of a few states that has take government abuse of power into overdrive, gives little information on when mask mandates will expire. Will it still go on in 2022? There is no scientific backing that masking works, in fact the data shows it make no differance. Sweeden has a proper approach to covid. Stay home if your sick, were not sick so we do not need to wear a mask. Thanks for listening. Steve

Getting old

 I remember watching old people when I was in grade school. I thought, when I get old, that stuff is not going to happen to me. Guess what? It did happen to me, perhaps I may be more healthy than lots of other older folks. It also depends on what your defination of old is. When in my early 30's old was 45. When I got to 45 old was 60, now in my 60's old is 75. Life and age is mostly about your perspective. Thanks for listening. Steve

The Truth

 How can the truth be taken from us? The greatest problem that we face today, is the truth has been taken from us. Our journalist print what they want you to believe, not what is true. Even when confronted with the truth, they choose to twist it an produce something they are comfortable with. Unless our reporters return to the basic facts of a story or news item, we are doomed.  When our world crumbles around us, do we ask God where he is? Do we say why have you hidden your face from us? The bendiction says the Lord make his face to shine upon us. Christmas all year long

 Why is everyone nice at Christmas? It is suposed to be the most wonderfull time of the year. What if we were nice all year long, not just at Christmas time? Wouldn't that be nice, perhaps we can think about that a bit. Thanks for listening. Steve

How long will this go on?

 Many are so tired of hearing about covid-19. It is get the shot or every one will get sick. Lots of folks will die, wear mask, get boosters. How long are we expected to under go this load of bull? After most every one gets the shots, they invent another kind of virus, then they want u to get more shots. No thanks, I think we are being hood winked. No more shots for me. Thenks for listening. Does being right matter?

 If you have to be right (correct) every time, there is a problem. What if being right has to do with standing up for your ideals? Then is it a problem? What if a man makes a stand for " that which is considered right by his group of peers,or his country, then what? Standing up for the little guy is not wrong. Defending someone who can not defend themselves is not wrong. Defending someone who will not fight against a group of bullies is not wrong. Now is the time we must take a stand, decide what you believe and defend that view. This is still America, one man can still make a differance. Thanks for listening. Steve

Greed sells

 Tomorrow is thanksgiving, it does not feel like it. There has been Christmas stuff in the stores for over a month. What has happened to people that they have become so greedy? Is money so important that we have to break all of the traditional rules? Rules like, christmas stuff goes on the shelves 2 weeks before thanks giving. Rules like, we do not play Christmas music before black friday. Some things should not change. Some things are so important, they should always be the same. Our world is crumbling around us, perhaps it is because we have let go of tradition. Perhaps changing thanksgiving and Christmas is a mistake. Thanks for listining. Steve

Drought?

Because the rains have come, and because we have had more than normal, folks think we are ok. We are not ok, Oregon has received 21 years of less than normal rainfall. The drought is not going away. We are going to have to change the way we live. Use less water, cut less trees and learn to conserve what we have. We will have to learn to farm differantly. Use less irrigation, and utalize more efficient systems. Thanks for listening. Steve

Oregon Taxes

 Our Oregon government leaders are always complaining about not having enough tax money to run things. Next year they have increased the license and tag fees on your car. They have also raised the gas tax. This year the stste of Oregon has a 585 million dollar surplus in the tax coffer. They still feel it is important to raise our taxes on as many things as possible. This maxes it much harder for families with children to make it. When taxes raised in the state of Oregon exceed 2 percent of expected revenue, the state is required to kick back the surplus to the tax paying citizens. We should ask our selves why we choose or keep leaders that care so little about us. Thanks for listening. Steve

No clear evidence

 Despite the lack of clear evidence showing mask do little to stop the spread of the virus covid 19, our state officials insist on enforcing an illegal mandate requiring us to wear them. It is time to replace that kind of leadership. Our state is going right down the toilet and these power hungry fools can not see the damage they cause. If we stand together we can make a change. Oregon's Governor

 Oregon and it's power hungry governor have caused a lot of concern to the citizens who live there. The near constant bickering between health officials about the rules or lack there of, concerning wearing a mask, have grown tiresome for many. My main gripe is simply this. It is not the job of government to keep the citizens healthy. Sure medical matters fall under state jusisdiction, but what is happening to us is clearly government over reach. When it affects the local and state economy and folks can not freely operate a business, the heavy handedness needs to stop. Perhaps now is the time to rebell against this oppression to a man. Before covid 19

 Before covid 19 came along all of us got colds and flu. We conducted our business that had to be done, some times by doping up on cold meds. We were pretty much carefull to not spread things back an forth. Now every thing is differant, we are treated like you may have the plague. Even though recent information has shown, covid to be no more dangerous than a common flu. When will we return to reason, using common sence? This has to change folks, lets go back to normal. Home Less population

 Every big city seems to have severe problems with people sleeping in the streets. Tents pitched every where, trash every where, filth and sickness. How can it be fixed? There are several laws enacted in almost every city that are not being enforced that would help with the problem. Laws against loitering, against stealing, against littering. If enforced they would help greatly. Stealing shoping carts is a crime. If arrested for these crimes, it would make these people want to steer clear of town. Cutting off the free food would help too. What ever happened to the great Bible principal of no work. No eat? Some times folks need a hand up, but just till they can get on their feet, not forever. Support our police, let them do their jobs. My Brothers Keeper

 In the first book of the Bible we read the story of Cain and Able. How Cain killed Able, and God asked Cain where Able was. He answered and said " am I my brothers keeper"? In a word, we are all brothers, we are all connected to each other some how. So to speak, we are our brothers keeper. Why is it so hard for us to get along, so hard to care about each other? If we all treated each other the way we want to be treated, what a world that would be. Tomorrow when you wake up, think about the golden rule. Do to others the way you want to be treated. God sees it all.

 Our leaders do not understand, corruption can be hidden from men, but God sees it all. I have met men who claim to not believe in God. In the end when faced with death those same men cry out to God. Every one believes, some just take longer to admit it than others. The leaders will be held accountable for what they have done, good, bad, all of it. Perhaps it is time for the fear of God to return to mens lives. It was what held us accountable, kept us in line, so to speak. Encourage others

 Todays times are scary and stressfull for many. What was certain in times past is uncertain now. We must not quit, nor retreat, we must regroup and move forward in faith. Religion can and should encompass everyone. Anyone who thinks they have all the answers is in big trouble. It takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to build an maintain ones faith. We must encourage each other today, while it is yet today, that spite and sin do not harden our hearts. I have never met a man or woman who did not need something from someone else. Leaders as examples

 Our leaders should be an example to us. If you want anyone to follow, you lead by example. What happens if our current leaders are not even decent people? Do we throw caution to the wind and follow them anyway? I say the time is at hand to use our God given common sence. Mine tells me our current president and administration is off their rocker. This is America, our rights are God given. We have choices and Biden wants to take them away. We need to cast out all incumbants and get fresh blood in office. Thanks for listening. Steve

Politics

 Today I finished writing a 6 page hand written letter to the head of my political party. They had sent out a survey to people of their party. They wanted answers to the survey questions, but the survey was designed to get only answers they wanted. I wrote the letter by hand and answered every question carefully giving a reason for my answers. I explained to them that the survey sucked and it afforded me no true way to give honest answers. Perhaps they will read it, perhaps they will throw it away. It made me feel better because I gave honest answers and I gave it my best shot. In life all we can ever do is give it our best shot. I can sleep at night knowing I am poor, but kind and honest to every one. Thanks for listening. Steve

Oregon, a shadow of it's former self

 I have lived in Oregon most of my life, it is a shadow of it's former self. The political leadership on all sides are corrupt. We could say it is the Democrats fault for being in control for so long. We could say it is the Republicans fault for not standing up and saying, enough,this needs to stop. We could say it is our fault for letting it go so far. Perhaps it is every ones fault. Our state was once one of the most Godly beautifull places in the united states. People laugh at us because Portland is a toilet, it has leaders who are immoral and corrupt. It is filthy and riddled with crime. Every day it get worse,the police are afraid to do their job. Not afraid of being shot or killed, but afraid of being fired for doing the right thing. It is time we took a stand against crooked leaders who seek to remove our God given rights. Time to stand against a crooked govenor, a crooked house and a crooked senate. Where are the real men? Men who do what is right reguardless of what it cost them? Let's Go Brandon

 I heard someone say this a few days ago. I had no idea what they meant untill I saw an explanation on the news. People find that phrase offensive, perhaps if Biden made better decisions folks would not say those things. I have never seen someone at the very top of the food chain, who was so lacking in common sence. It is also well known that he has never had a real job. I find it amazing that if you added up all the years of payment he has received as a congressman, it would never be as much as his bank account. News flash folks, that means he is as crooked as a dogs hind leg.

We will talk a lot on here about what a leader should be like. Biden is a good example of what a leader should not be. They must be honest, without reproach, a member in good standing in their community, and preferably a man of great faith. Elections will be comming up next year for congress. Vote carefully, choose wisely, based upon honor, honesty, good citizenship and a person of good character. Thanks for listening. Steve

Portland a once beautifull city.

 Today we continue our story about Portland Oregon. The mayor and the city leaders make decisions that are poorly thought out, not based on common sence. This once Godly nation is headed right down the toilet. Portland is a prime example. I live in Oregon, and I visited Portland last December. The city was filthy, trash and homeless people every where. I went to Pioneer court house square. The court house, a federal building was so badly damaged I almost did not reconize it. The windows were either all broken out, or boarded up. Many of the address numbers on buildings were torn off by vandels. The mayor has quit supporting the police, even cutting funding for their department. He then gave that same funding to a seperate racial group in Portland. The same one that is less then 20 percent of the population of America, but has the loudest cry for racial injustice. Where are the good men, the Godly men, who do the right thing? Some times we do the right thing simply because it id the right thing, and it is usually not easy. Good leaders never quit, they simply regroup and try a differant way. Portland oregon a once proud city.

 October 29th,2021.

The once proud, once beautifull city. What has happened to Portland that has made folks afraid of going there? It has been said that a company is only as good as the people who work for it.  Lets pretend for a moment that Portland is a company. That would mean the mayor is head of the company, followed by the city government and the council. The former and current mayors are not decent human being, much less fit for public service. A leader should be without reproach. Both of these people have no idea who they are, where they come from, or what they stand for. A leader must  " stand for something" or they will fall for any thing. Our leaders must have grit, know the differance between right and wrong. The mayor has been guilty of strong arm tatics, including trying to blockade business with texas because of his personal beliefs. We will continue tomorrow. Thanks for listining. Steve

Fall

 Every year I marvel at the beauty of fall. God the creator is a God of infinate variety and imagination. Were we to be given a paint brush and told to choose the colors of fall, it would be rather limited. To think no two leaves are the same, not in size nor color. How can one look at the colors of fall and deny that God exhists? To see nature in all its glory and say, it just happened by its self is to deny our own creation. Thanks for listining. Steve

Divided

 I have never seen this country so divided as it is today. We are divided over covid 19 worse than any thing since the civil war. It divided whole towns,families and a nation. The same thing is happening now. We stand divided over getting a shot,over whether the virus is real. There is no doubt that it is real, but is it dangerous? Is is more of a threat than the common flu? An interesting point is that in 2018 you could look up the cdc web site, either by seperate state or national. One could easily see deaths broken down by differant diseases. You could see how many folks died of what. Some where in 2019 folks quit dieing of almost everything except covid 19. We know that is not true, but they lumped almost everything together. That means we are expected to believe what they tell us. Now no one can tell or see the truth. Think about that a little bit. The rain has come

 Oregon has been hit hard with the drought. Much of the forrest has burned. The farmers and ranchers are struggling to stay ahaid. Many have been forced to sell all of their livestock, or to drastically reduce their herds. The rain has come again, it looks like our beloved Oregon,greening up again. There is great hope that the rain will ease the drought and catch us up in the water year. I know that God controls every thing and he is still in charge. Have a great evening, thanks for listening.

Much has changed.

 Much has changed in my life. I was married nearly 42 years. Then I found myself divoraced. That was a little over 2 years ago. I recently remarried to a kind gentle woman who is several years older then me. My exwife was a good woman, we just grew apart over the years and were on differant paths in life. Now I am older and far less judgemental of others. I have started over and am now retired. My perspective of life is far differant. What used to be important, is no longer so. Money is now a tool not a driving factor in my life. Thanks for listening, steve.
